Read Across America

On March 2nd all first and second grade students in the Seneca East School District celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday. One of the activities provided to the students was the reading of a Dr. Seuss book by a special guest. The special guests this year were Cheryl Thomson, Elementary Principal and Tami Diehm, Ohio Read’s parent volunteer.

Each first and second grade teacher was presented with books of their choice for their classroom library. Over 150 books were given by SEEA with money provided by an NWOEA Grant to help celebrate reading.

SEEA appreciates the opportunity provided by the NWOEA Grant Program to continue to create a literacy rich environment for our students.
